This sculpture was cast in an open-faced mold, which means that the backside is flat. The Crystal I used is called "Rhubarb", it posses very unusual "color-shifting" properties. Depending on the light source, the hue will change from the color shown here through Rose tones to pale green. I appreciate these changes the most, when the sculpture is placed near a window, allowing the color change to occur with the natural light at different times of the day. Early morning and late afternoon are particularly lovely.
